Therapeutic Focus:
Clients that Leah works with are searching to return to their whole self. They have misplaced their sense of compassion, curiosity and connectedness and are ready to get back to themselves. Some clients find themselves trapped in worry, hopelessness, and negativity. They struggle to enjoy activities and often get stuck in spirals of fear, addiction, shame or guilt. These emotions can often seem like a war is going on in their mind. Parts of them know what they need to do, but other parts make them feel stuck. Some clients are struggling with life dilemmas, feeling as though they've lost their sense of self. They need clarity and hopefulness.
Leah's primary focus is to help you achieve the goals you set. She utilizes Internal Family Systems as her foundational theoretical model. This model is evidence based and proven to be effective in reducing symptoms related to depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, relationship issues and addictions.
Leah is known to bring a warm, and non-judgmental approach to counseling. She emphasizes the importance of good communication, self-examination and awareness. She believes that each person has everything they need inside themselves to live the life they truly desire. It is her desire to empower you with tools to be the mindful, confident and compassionate self that you are.
